Blue moonstone ring

This modern one of a kind unique silver ring has a nice organic texture and was made in a brutalist style.

This organic silver ring features a gorgeous oval moonstone that has a beautiful translucent clarity and a lovely blue sheen when the light hits it.

How I made this blue moonstone ring:

-  I heated a strip of silver until melting point. When red hot, I sprinkle it with silver sawdust and little granules until it all fuses together.

- After the ring is bent into shape, I made a bezel for the natural blue moonstone cabochon that I soldered to the band.

- The ring was then emerged in a liver of sulphur solution to give it a black patina that brings out the rough texture of the ring.

- Its open design allows you to change the size, so it can be worn comfortably on any finger, looks great as a thumb ring as well.

- Adjustable size

- Suitable for both men and women.

- The band of the ring is 6 – 11 mm wide

- The oval moonstone is 10 x 8 mm in size.
